Last week, the SLT team packed our bags, loaded the display, and flew to San Antonio, Texas for the Texas Nursery & Landscape Expo.
Picture 1 shows our booth all set up, shining bright, with the Super Lawn Truck and Super Contractor Truck ready to roll. We call this our Mobile Billboard + Rolling Warehouse + Dumper Display combo… built for the serious pro!
Now, in Picture 2, meet Carlos Campos. This fine young man stopped by our booth for a tour. He was one of the super-smart landscapers who accepted my e-mail invitation to come by for a personal tour.
Here’s a short story. His grandfather started the family lawn business almost 40 years ago, and now Carlos works alongside his dad keeping landscapes clean and green. Y’all, we LOVE family businesses.
He picked up a copy of The Landscaper’s Guide to Finding, Hiring & Keeping Great Employees. I believe this young man (3rd generation now) is ready to grow! What a smile!
Picture 3? That’s me and David from Buena Vista Texas Turf Farm. This gorilla marketer was handing out branded koozies—at the bar during the welcome reception. You wanna talk about timing? He nailed it! That’s how you market with energy and boldness. Loved it!
Yep…we all grabbed a Koozi…and each one had David’s business card stuffed inside! I’m inspired!
Picture 4 shows me and my son Maxx on the plane home. As I settled into my seat, I saw a little card waiting on me at seat 4b…
And finally, Picture 5. A handwritten thank-you note from the Delta flight crew. Not every seat got one. But I did. Why? ‘Cause they noticed… and that’s the point.
