How to Calculate Your Company’s True Productivity
The formula is simple—and powerful. You could probably get the numbers together in less time than it takes to change blades on a zero turn. Here’s what you do:
- Add up all field labor hours for the year. (Yes… including YOU, even if you never punched a time clock, but don’t include any office or overhead hours.)
- Divide total hours by 2,000. This gives you your Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). (Round to two decimals… it matters.)
- Take your annual sales and divide by your FTE. This reveals your Sales Per FTE.
