Super Lawn Trucks announced several initiatives at the recent GIE + Expo in Louisville, KY to help landscape contractors improve productivity in trucks and equipment, processes and procedures. The initiatives are based on the concept of becoming faster, better and cheaper in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
To do so, founder Tony Bass says the company is adopting a new name of Super Lawn Technologies, focusing on continued improvements to its highly effective, highly popular truck system, in addition to expanded efforts to increase business education for its customers.
Truck Improvements. New product improvements include faster ramp time (from 35 seconds down to 23), lighter product weight, the availability of a Hydra-Ramp for used box trucks, and an eco-friendly series of trucks under the Eco-Max name, which feature a 30% weight reduction and impressive 10-second push button ramp operation.
Training and Education. Industry outreach in the form of business education is also being increased. A business planning e-book is available for free download at Super Lawn Trucks. Bass is also working on a book with the renowned author of The E-Myth, Michael E. Gerber. The new book, entitled The E-Myth Landscape Contractor, is expected to be released by the second quarter of 2011. Learn more here.
Tony Bass has also become known for his popular Bottom Line with Tony Bass podcast series at Green Industry ProCast. Bass will continue to provide timely podcasts in 2011, in addition to business tips on the pages of Green Industry PRO magazine.
